The nominations keep coming in after the 2013 Bears posted one of the most impressive offensive units in franchise history.
Receiver Brandon Marshall and running back Matt Forte have been selected to the 2013 Pro Football Writers Association All-NFC team.
Marshall ranked fifth in the NFL with receptions (100) and 11th in yards receiving (1,295). He also posted a career-high 12 touchdown receptions. Marshall's two-year resume with the Bears includes 23 touchdowns and 218 catches. Only Lions receiver Calvin Johnson has been better statistically in the same time span.
Forte was healthy the entire 2013 campaign for the first time since 2010 and accumulated 1,933 yards from scrimmage. His 1,339 yards rushing was second best in the league. Forte also has 20 100-yard games in his career, tying Chicago legend Gale Sayers for the second most in franchise history.
Despite the impressive season, the six-year Bear was denied a spot on the All-Pro second team.
Marshall and Forte are also going to Hawaii to play in the Pro Bowl. Marshall will perform in the fifth Pro Bowl of his eight-year career while Forte will be making his second visit to the now-non-conferenced all-star game.
Both will be playing alongside teammate Alshon Jeffery who will play in Calvin Johnson's absence.
